Core layer for engineered parquet

The base layer for engineered parquet is a three-layer parquet construction consisting of selected 7-12 mm dry wood, which is used for the inner layer with pine or birch lath. For the base layer, 3-4 mm oak lamellas or birch veneers are used. All layers are glued together with a special strong glue D4 Akzo Nobel.

  • Length: 300-2500 mm
  • Width: 100-300 mm
  • Sheet size: 1250*2700 mm
  • Thickness: 10-38 mm

Width 67-130 mm 

  • sound knots up to 50 mm
  • black knots up to 50 mm
  • holes and dropped out knots up to 30 mm, but at least 10 mm from the edges
  • heart core is allowed along the whole length
  • cracks which do not destroy the lamella’s structure
  • strong change color
  • grown bark without rot

Width 130-305 mm 

  • sound knots up to 90 mm
  • black knots up to 60 mm
  • holes and dropped out knots up to 40 mm, but at least 10 mm from the edges
  • heart core is allowed along the whole length
  • cracks which do not destroy the lamella’s structure
  • strong change color
  • grown bark without rot

Width 130-305 mm 

  • knots are allowed, including side knots
  • dark knots without restrictions
  • single holes not in groups up to 50 mm
  • heart core
  • grown bark up to 200 mm
  • natural changes in colour 

Not allowed - rot, shashel, holes over 50 mm in diameter, cracks

  • 7 mm – 3,8 mm
  • 10 mm – 3,8 mm

Lath - veneer

  • 10 mm – 1,5 mm
  • 12 mm – 1,5 mm
  • Sanded 80 grit
  • With gaps of 1-3 mm
  • Without gaps
  • Thickness: -1/+1 mm
  • Length: -0/+5 mm
  • Width: -0/+5 mm
  • Moisture: 8-10%
